Imagination Technologies and its licensing partners will be showing the latest content and devices based on Imagination's IP at 3GSM 2005 this week

Imagination's PowerVR MBX family is the leading standard for mobile graphics, having so far been licensed by key mobile chip-set providers including Intel, Renesas, Samsung, TI, Philips and Freescale. Demonstrations of advanced graphics on the Imagination Technologies stand will include: the stunning new PowerVR Racer demo running on the Renesas SH-Mobile 3 processor; the latest advanced graphics demos running on TI's OMAP 2 architecture; Intel's 2700G processor in the Dell Axim X50v; and the latest advanced mobile content demonstrated by partners HI Corp and Ideaworks.

A wide range of mobile video solutions implementing IP from Imagination Technologies' Ensigma, Metagence and PowerVR divisions will be on show at 3GSM including the MVED1 multistandard video encode and decode accelerator and MVDA2 multistandard video decode accelerator.

The PowerVR M24VA video acceleration core will be demonstrated in end products.

In the exciting area of mobile TV Imagination will be showcasing its IP offerings for DVB-H.

Imagination offers leading demodulation and video IP specific for DVB-H including the UCC (Universal Communications Co-processor) and the DVB-H LINK layer from its Ensigma division.

On the WorldDAB stand licensing partner Frontier Silicon will be demonstrating Imagination Technologies' IP used in a T-DMB solution.

Imagination's IP powers the world leading DAB solution - Frontier Silicon's Chorus processor, which has over 70% market share and is already used in over 80 products.

The new Kino chip from Frontier Silicon, launched at the show, provides a dedicated hardware solution for T-DMB based on the Meta processor core and Ensigma universal communication coprocessor intellectual property licensed from Imagination Technologies.

As well as demonstrations of its IP for mobile video, audio and communications Imagination Technologies will be launching a public SDK for content development targeting PowerVR MBX, the de facto standard for advanced mobile multimedia.

ARM will also be showing PowerVR MBX on its stand in demonstrations showing Swerve Client with PowerVR MBX hardware acceleration running on the Dell Axim device and PowerVR MBX accelerated 2D and 3D graphics under symbian OS using OpenGL ES API running on the RealView Versatile platform baseboard.
