Start with the news release Cortex-A15 processor for smartphone applications from ARM, which we summarised at the time by saying "ARM has introduced the Cortex-A15 MPCore processor designed for products ranging from smartphones, tablets, large-screen mobile computing, wireless base stations and enterprise infrastructure.". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Graphics core suits tablets and smartphones from Imagination Technologies: "Imagination Technologies has announced PowerVR SGX544, a high-performance graphics core for embedded and mobile applications in tablets, computing devices and smartphones.".
In September 2009, we covered the news from Cypress Semiconductor - take a look at Cypress introduces touchscreen controller range which says: "Cypress Semiconductor has introduced fully-integrated Truetouch touchscreen controllers, the TMA300 family, based on the PSoC programmable system-on-chip architecture. ".
