Heyco has produced a set of downloadable 3D CAD files for the most popular products in the Heyco range.
Product designers can now incorporate a Heyco part straight into their drawings to give an immediate indication of size, shape and suitability.
Parts that could take hours to draw can be downloaded in seconds to give an accurate representation of appearance and capability, viewable from all angles for complete component assessment and assimilation (data are available in the universal Step format).
Designers wishing to use the facility will need to preregister via Heyco's online catalogue (full dimensional details and line drawings are also available online).
Typical products for which 3D CAD files are available include strain relief bushings, liquid tight fittings, threaded fasteners, spacers, rivets and hole plugs.
Although Heyco will continue to offer free samples for all parts in the catalogue, the 3D CAD files alleviate any delay in waiting for these to arrive.
