drive next-generation graphics
Dy 4 Systems is to develop its next generation rugged graphics product with ALT Software
ALT provides proven OpenGL graphics software for graphics chips from ATI Technologies, a world-leader in innovative 3D graphics processors. This will result in the design and development of Dy 4's next generation rugged graphics product featuring the ATI Mobility Radeon 9000 graphics processing engine and OpenGL technology.

This next generation product will provide a platform for customers to design and develop a variety of demanding graphics-based applications in ground, naval and avionics applications.

Through this relationship, Dy 4 will continue to evolve its extensive product line to provide the industry's broadest range of high-performance rugged graphics solutions.
The first product to emerge from this partnership will be a high-performance PMC mezzanine module offering advanced features and performance unmatched by any rugged COTS (commercial off-the-shelf) graphics PMC available today.
The new Radeon 9000-based PMC will offer a smooth upgrade path from Dy 4's current Trinity 2 (PMC-702) graphics module, to preserve customers' software investment while upgrading the performance of existing systems.
"The Mobility Radeon 9000 delivers powerful features, outstanding performance and power-saving technology, making this product a great fit for meeting demanding requirements", said Andrew Schmied, Senior Group Manager, Embedded Displays for ATI Technologies.
