Quinly named President
of Embedded Computing
Curtiss-Wright Controls has named Tom Quinly President of its Embedded Computing Group
Curtiss-Wright Controls has named Tom Quinly President of its Embedded Computing Group, which provides state-of-the-art open systems architecture, commercial and rugged computing boards, chassis and graphics components, and subsystems for aerospace, defence and commercial markets. Quinly will have overall responsibility for Curtiss-Wright Controls Embedded Computing, which includes major operations in San Diego, California; Ontario, Canada; Leesburg, Virginia; Santa Clarita, California; Littleton, Massachusetts; Dayton, Ohio; and Litlington, UK.

The former president of Dy 4 Systems (Dy 4), Quinly has a broad base of experience in operations, programme and finance.
Dy 4, a leading supplier of embedded computing solutions, graphics and digital signal processing capabilities, was acquired by Curtiss-Wright Controls in February of 2004.
In addition to growing Dy 4 into a top industry performer, Quinly has served in a variety of leadership positions with top defence electronics companies, including Lockheed-Martin and Allied Signal Aerospace, and for Advanced Technology Laboratories, a premier medical electronics manufacturer.
Quinly holds a BSc degree in industrial technology from Utah State University and an MBA from St Edwards University in Austin, Texas.
His 25-year career in high-tech industries has spanned both defence and commercial sectors.
