Curtiss-Wright Controls has formed three new business groups to maximise product innovation and system integration

The three groups - Engineered Systems, Embedded Computing and Integrated Sensing - have been formed by combining the Curtiss-Wright Controls family of companies into major industry segments. The company's rapid growth and marketplace trends are fuelling the change, according to George J Yohrling, President, Curtiss-Wright Controls.

"We've strategically added an elite group of companies during the past few years that augment and strengthen our core competency in motion control", says Yohrling.

"Each of these companies is an industry leader".

"By aligning these companies into three major groups, we'll be able to respond even more proactively to our customers' need for innovative products and integrated subsystem solutions".

Curtiss-Wright Controls' Engineered Systems group specialises in high-end, electromechanical and hydromechanical components and systems for the aerospace, defence and industrial markets.

Engineered Systems includes Curtiss-Wright Flight Systems, Novatronics and Curtiss-Wright Antriebstechnik, which will now be organised around the product groups of flight systems, drive technology, electromechanical technologies and accessory services.

Curtiss-Wright Controls Embedded Computing provides state-of-the-art open systems architecture, commercial and rugged boards and chassis, and graphics solutions for this highly specialised market.

Embedded Computing includes Vista Controls, Dy 4, Primagraphics, Peritek and Systran which will now be organised around the product groups of subsystems, processing, DSP, real time video and graphics and datacommunications.

Delivering avionics and sensors that meet today's demanding standards in the aerospace, defence and industrial markets is the focus of Curtiss-Wright Controls Integrated Sensing, which includes Penny and Giles, Collins Technologies, Pickering Controls and Autronics.

This group will now be organised around the product groups of sensors, avionics and electronics and Penny and Giles.
