Start with the news release EASA certifies avionics unit with Altera processor from Altera, which we summarised at the time by saying "The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has certified a safety-critical avionics system that includes a DO-254/ED-80-certifiable version of Altera's Nios II embedded processor.". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release TDI power system targets military applications from TDI Power: "Military power-supply specialist TDI Power has launched a three-phase, three-wire power system suited for shipboard and industrial applications where no neutral connection is available.".
In September 2010, we covered the news from Vicor - take a look at Brick Filter targets military ground vehicle apps which says: "Vicor has introduced the MIL-COTS VI Brick Filter, which is available as a standalone filter or integrated with the PRM Regulator Module for military ground vehicle and airborne systems applications.".
