The GP-22050 Base is a bidirectional PC-based module that functions as a pattern generator, logic analyser/data logger and JTAG protocol generator

New from Belgium-based Byte Paradigm, the GP-22050 Base is an entry-level, PC-controlled and highly versatile USB pod. The GP-22050 Base is a bidirectional PC-based module that functions as a pattern generator (arbitrary digital waveform generator), logic analyser/data logger and JTAG protocol generator.

Delivered with cables and host software, this USB 2.0 product offers electronics engineers an easy-to-use tool to access electronic systems from their favourite workstation.

The GP-22050 Base is used to complement existing in-lab debug, validation and analysis environments and to enhance electronic system development productivity.

It streams data to/from a PC onto its 16 data lines up to a 100Mbyte/s burst rate while offering six additional control lines for repetitive sequence generation, in/out clocking or trigger definition.

The GP-22050 is operated using host software that efficiently manages the USB link and offers rich functional user interfaces: each operating mode can be controlled with an intuitive graphical user interface (GUI), a TCL/tk scripting environment or a MS-Windows C/C++ DLL.

This enables fast setup, easy task automation and efficient integration in test applications.

'One of the major advantages of the GP-22050 Base is that it is extremely upgradeable', said Frederic Leens, Sales and Marketing Manager of Byte Paradigm.

'Because you can easily extend your host software by building on TCL and the DLL, or add further operating modes later, the GP-22050 Base is not only affordable but also a highly secure investment'.
