Anritsu has announced the availability of a 10Gbps Ethernet test option for the CMA 3000 field tester to quickly test and measure access network communication links based on Ethernet and IP.

The Ethernet option supports dual-port testing at 10Mbps, 100Mbps and 1Gbps.

At 10Gbps, the option comes in a single-port and a dual-port version.

The option allows both active out-of-service testing with one transmitter and one receiver and in-service bi-directional monitoring of Ethernet links in dual-port configurations.

With this, operators can now quickly test and measure access network communication links based on Ethernet and IP.

Further options support testing of VoIP, SDH, E3, E4 and V-series interface lines, which together with the E1 test capabilities for the basic CMA 3000 makes it a versatile test solution.

For out-of-service installation and commissioning testing of Ethernet links, the CMA 3000 provides statistical quality of service measurements that can be documented with professional reports.

With the in-service monitoring capability the user can quickly verify that both sides of the Ethernet link are working properly at rates up to 10Gbps with the new option for the CMA 3000.

As field technicians can combine Ethernet testing with SDH, VoIP and E1/E3/E4 testing in one self-contained unit, they are well equipped to solve the problems in the access network.
