The NuPRO-900 provides maximum system bus, memory and I/O bandwidth to expand end user performance, scalability and productivity in a myriad of applications

Designed to expand end user performance, scalability and productivity, Adlink's powerful PICMG 1.2-compliant full-size single board computer (SBC), the NuPRO-900 provides maximised system buses, memory and I/O bandwidth for a myriad of applications. Additionally, the latest Adlink cPCI-6240, developed in association with Intel under the Intel Communications Alliance, offers the ultimate 3G wireless and broadband platform.

Adlink recently joined the Intel Modular Communications Platforms ecosystem to augment product interoperability and development.

"Together with Intel's modular building blocks, Adlink delivers high performance and functionality, superior design flexibility, and improved time-to-market to meet the growing demand for rich network services", said Roland Chen, Director of Adlink's Network Computing Division.

The NuPRO-900 supports dual Intel Xeon processors, 8Gbyte DDR200/266 memory with ECC, and dual true 64bit Gigabit Ethernet.

NuPRO-900 is also the industry's first full size 64bit ePCI-X SBC to use the latest Intel E7501 chipset; designed to deliver maximum system bus, memory and I/O bandwidth to enhance performance, scalability and end-user productivity.

NuPRO-900 targets storage and high-end servers, telecommunication computers, high-end industrial controllers, CTI platforms, computing clusters and other 64bit applications.

The PICMG 2.16-compliant cPCI-6240 is based on the Intel IXP2400 network processor and supports a processor PMC site for additional control plane processing, a PCI Telecom Mezzanine/Carrier Card site for quad OC-3 or OC-12 interfaces, and up to four additional gigabit Ethernet channels.

"The cPCI-6240 combines Intel's IXP2400 network processor, quad MAC and mapper framer silicon onto a highly integrated CompactPCI board.

With this higher level of integration, users can reduce the board count and cost of future telecommunication platforms", said Jeff Munch, Chief Technology Officer of Adlink and also Chairman of PICMG 3.0.

The IXP2400 supports one 600MHz XScale control plane processor and eight 600MHz micro-engine processors to provide users with flexible high-performance programming at up to OC-12 line speeds.

The Intel IXP2400 network processor also supports up to 512Mbyte DDR SDRAM and 4Mbyte QDR SRAM with ECC for intense applications such as 3G radio network controllers, media gateways and VPNs.

"The IXP2400 enables flexible delivery of speedy networking services at line rate to support a broad range of access and edge applications", said Jim Finnegan, General Manager, Intel Network Processor Division.

"We believe the introduction of Adlink's cPCI-6240 will help customers implement complete next generation platform solutions for 3G wireless infrastructure and high performance network security devices".
