We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "QDR", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Electronicstalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.
Start with the news release Device gets high data rates out of copper wire from Quellan, which we summarised at the time by saying "By compensating for signal distortion and removing noise, the QLx411G can achieve unprecedented speed over thinner gauge cable". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Active optical cables passed fit for InfiniBand from Zarlink Semiconductor: "Active optical cable assemblies with integrated optical-electrical convertors are certified compliant with the InfiniBand architecture specification".
In July 2007, we covered the news from VMETRO concerning its Phoenix VPF2 - take a look at VME64 card combines dual-core processor with FPGAs which says: "Rugged COTS DSP processing card combines a Freescale MPC8641D processor, two Xilinx Virtex-5 FPGAs and a VXS based high-speed serial interconnect fabric".
Take a look also at the news release from VMETRO, Boards enable early Virtex-5 prototyping, as well as FPGA coprocessor speeds HyperTransport design from Celoxica, and Mezzanine card offers design flexibility from Dynamic Engineering.
