The NuPRO-900 is a PICMG 1.2 R1.0 compliant full-size SBC with support for dual Intel Xeon processors, 8Gbyte DDR200/266 memory with ECC, and dual true 64bit Gigabit Ethernet. The NuPRO-900 is also the industry's first full-size 64bit ePCI-X SBC to use the newest Intel E7501 chipset, designed to deliver maximised system bus, memory and I/O bandwidth to enhance performance, scalability and end-user productivity. The NuPro-900 is aimed at storage servers, high-end compute servers, telecommunications computers, high-end industrial controllers, CTI platforms, computing clusters and other 64bit applications.

"The ePCI-X NuPRO-900 is an example of a key Adlink strength, the ability to provide technology on multiple form factors", said Jeff Munch, Chief Technology Officer of Adlink Technology.

"This strength allows Adlink to deliver leading edge technology at competitive prices by amortizing our development costs across multiple platforms".

The NuPRO-900 supports state-of-the-art Xeon processors up to 2.4GHz, as well as the Low Voltage Xeon processor for power sensitive applications.

Built on the new 64bit ePCI-X bus, an evolutionary modification of the PICMG PCI-ISA specification to include PCI-X capabilities and more I/O bandwidth, while retaining the same mechanical dimensions as PCI-ISA.

PICMG 1.2 compliance also means an ISA or PCI-ISA enclosure can readily accept ePCI-X backplanes and SBCs without modification, allowing migrating legacy systems to powerful Xeon based systems effortless.

To extend flexible upgrading options, the NuPRO-900 is equipped with one MiniPCI socket, which adds system configuration flexibility for integrators or OEMs.

Specified by PCISIG and commonly used in the notebook computer industry, MiniPCI offers the option of adding peripherals to meet the needs of varied industrial applications such as: a MiniPCI SCSI card that can be used to add NAS, storage, or server applications; a MiniPCI dual Ethernet card to add two additional Ethernet connections.

More interface cards, such as a MiniPCI Bluetooth and IEEE802.11b, are also available to increase versatility.

Further standard features include two IDE UDMA100 interfaces, two USB ports, a floppy interface, parallel port, two serial ports, and VGA with 8Mbyte onboard SDRAM.

In addition, the NuPRO-900 has full hardware monitoring functions such as temperature, voltage, fan speed and chassis intrusion.

Its full HALT (highly accelerated life test) ensures reliable operation up to 55C.
