Award for leading-edge CompactPCI blade

Adlink Technology has a new 9U height, 21-slot CompactPCI blade server subsystem with PICMG 2.16 and PICMG 2.9 compliance, the cPCIS-3300BLS

Supplemented by industry standard 6U CompactPCI computing blades, the cPCIS-3300BLS hosts a total of 21 slots including configurable 12 node slots, two fabric slots, 2+1 redundant 6U dual slot CompactPCI power modules and an optional CMM (chassis management module) slot. The cutting edge PICMG 2.16 compliant packet switching backplane provides dual gigabit Ethernet connections of up to 24Gbit/s switching bandwidth without any external Ethernet cabling required.

In addition to the 2+1 hot swappable 800+400W PICMG 2.11 compliant CompactPCI redundant power unit with universal AC input suitable for power-consuming applications, the cPCIS-3300BLS also houses 10 (5+5) hot swappable fan trays, five for air intake and five for ventilation.

The telco-grade look-and-feel cPCIS-3300BLS is designed to meet NEBS Level 3 and is protected with a magnetic circuit breaker on the AC input.

In addition to its compliance with PICMG 2.0 CompactPCI R3.0 specification, the cPCIS-3300BLS also complies with PICMG 2.1 hot swap R2.0 specification and PICMG 2.16 backplane with P3, P4 and P5 long pins for rear I/O.

The optional CMM with PICMG 2.9 compliant backplane using IPMI can monitor the chassis' internal temperature and fans status.

With remote monitoring, event logging and control functionalities including power module and all blade status can be remotely configured and accessed via the Internet through a web-based user interface.

The cPCIS-3300BLS is designed to support five-nines (99.999%) availability featuring clustering high availability (HA) capability and redundant switching HA with full hot-swap support architecture.

With these capabilities, the cPCIS-3300BLS is suitable for CTI gateways, media gateways, multi-access switch, streaming server, MOD, MSC (mobile switching centre), BSC (basestation centre), RNC (radio network controller), intelligent network, high performance technical computing for scientific or image processing, and high availability mission critical applications.

The cPCIS-3300BLS has been awarded the highly prestigious "11th symbol of excellence award" presented by CETRA (China External Trade Development Council), an affiliate of the Ministry of Economic Affairs of the Republic of China.
