Remote power devices meet a growing demand for applications, for example in VoIP and wireless LAN basestations, where power is delivered through CAT5 cables to the equipment.
The new Halo devices offer a complete line of IEEE802.3af compliant 10/100Base-TX magnetics in single ultra, dual and quad formats.
They are the first devices in the industry to solve the key issues of heat rise in transformer windings, transformer saturation and saturating the CMR chokes.

All remote power solutions provide up to 350mA of current while providing excellent Ethernet functionality at either 10 or 100Mbit/s datarates.
For LAN interconnection, the FastJack series integrates the high performance of Halo magnetics into an industry standard connector design.
The result is an extremely robust, IEEE802.3 compliant, solution.
The connectors are available for most 10Base-T and 10/100Base-TX ICs, including chips from AMD, Broadcom, Cirrus Logic, Crystal Semiconductor, IDT, Intel, LSI Logic, National, STMicro and TI.
Now providing a comprehensive range of solutions, the expanded line of FastJack integrated connectors uses an enhanced connector design to boost shield grounding to the front panel cutout, hence to offer better emissions performance.
There are options for single and ganged 10Base-T and 10/100Base-TX Ethernet, plus "stacked and ganged" solutions are also available.
New Gigabit FastJacks are offered in single and ganged versions, with stacked and ganged gigabit products currently in development.
In addition, the new TeleJack line extends the benefits of FastJack from LANs to single port T1/E1 integrated solutions.
Integrating isolation transformers, power line cross and lightning protection into the RJ45 connector, they are available for most leading line interface units.
