Embedded OEMs can rely on support for Windows XP in their systems until 2016, so that customers now have more time in which to plan and implement their migration to other systems.
Abacus Embedded has announced that it will support Windows XP Professional for embedded systems to embedded OEMs until 2016, deferring the need to upgrade in this market Commenting, Nick Donaldson, General Manager, Abacus Embedded Systems Group says, "Abacus Embedded is one of Europe's largest distributors of Microsoft Embedded Operating Systems - and we're a leading partner in their strategy to offer extended support of Windows in the embedded market beyond that offered in the desktop PC channel"
