Boxer series embedded controllers have received QNX licence certification, confirming their real-time capabilities and their ability to handle mission critical applications such as industrial automation, security, military and medical markets. QNX Software Systems values the telematics and infotainment markets that are sprouting up all around the world; in the same vein Aaeon will also tailor the Boxer series product roadmap to meet the requirement of these emerging markets.

Obtaining the certificate was one of Aaeon's objectives in 2005.

QNX Software Systems provides OS technology, development tools, and professional services for companies building mission-critical embedded systems.

Getting support from QNX Software Systems will enhance the exceptional reliability and scalability of the Boxer series.

A true microkernel operating system, the QNX Neutrino RTOS offers advanced memory protection, distributed processing, symmetric multiprocessing, Posix APIs, a dynamically upgradeable architecture, and industry-leading real-time performance that can now be bundled with the Aaeon Boxer series.

The new QNX Boxer series, notably the AEC-6810-E3, fulfills the robust application requirements of the industrial control, automotive, transportation, medical, networking and military markets.

The AEC-6810, AEC-6820B, AEC-6840 and AEC-6850 are QNX-certified models.
