Eight-port network appliance fits in 1U
Low-profile network appliance is claimed to provide extraordinary networking performance
New from Aaeon, the FWS-816 is a 1U form factor network appliance that is claimed to provide extraordinary networking performance. The FWS-816 adopts the Intel Pentium 4 LGA 775 processor up to 3.8GHz with 533/800/1066 front side bus and Intel 945G and Intel 82801FB (ICH7R) chipset. The system memory features two 240-pin DDRII 667 SDRAM DIMM sockets, supporting up to 2Gbyte in a two-channel configuration.

The console port deploys console redirection that increases the network security via remote control.
Moreover, there is a front panel support LCM with keypad control that allows for easy access and operation.
