Embedded computing card based on AMD LX has ample options for expansion

Aaeon has brought out an AMD LX level compact board called the PCM-5895. Similar products that adopt the AMD LX processor in the market are designed in 3.5in, EPIC, Mini ITX form factors. However, there are some limitations with these small size products. Aaeon's PCM-5895 provides more possibilities for expansion that differentiate from other AMD LX products in the embedded marketplace.

PCM-5895 adopts an AMD Geode LX 800 processor.

The AMD LX series processors are suitable for applications that require low power consumption and stable performance.

The system memory comprises 184-pin DDR DIMM up to 1Gbyte.

Moreover, the PCM-5895 supports Mini PCI, PCI and PC/104 for flexible expansion.

The PCM-5895 meets the criteria of a low-priced, multifunctional product.

Regarding the multimedia performance of PCM-5895, it enables CRT/LCD, CRT/TV and LCD/TV simultaneous display.

The LVDS/TTL TFT LCD is up to 24bit and the rich audio I/O interface that PCM-5895 possesses supports MIC-in, line-in, line-out and CD-in.

In addition, PCM-5895 deploys 4 COM ports - three RS-232 ports and one RS-232/422/485 port.

Moreover, four USB 2.0, 8bit Digital I/O and IrDA ports make PCM-5895 more attractive for system device expansion.

One CAN Bus port is an optional feature that can help enrich connections.
