We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Varistor", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Electronicstalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Ceramic capacitors suit EMI filtering from Syfer Technology, which we summarised at the time by saying "Syfer's discoidal multilayer ceramic capacitors can be installed directly into filters, onto bulkheads, hybrid circuits or onto printed circuit boards". A couple of weeks before, we featured the news release Varistors protect CANs from ESD from AVX: "Multilayer ceramic varistors feature nonlinear, bidirectional voltage-current characteristics similar to back-to-back Zener diodes and an EMC capacitor in parallel".

In July 2007, we covered the news from TDK Electronics Europe concerning its AVRM0603C6R8NT101N - take a look at Compact varistor reduces voltage which says: "Multilayer chip varistor boasts the industry's lowest varistor voltage for a device of its type".

Take a look also at the news release from Kyocera Corp, EMI filters use novel varistor material, as well as Varistors protect at higher temperatures from Stackpole Electronics, and Fuse and MOV come together to protect on the line from Raychem Circuit Protection.
