Solid-state relay drops in for e-mech types
Fujitsu Components Europe has expanded its relay offering for the industrial control and appliance markets with the addition of an ultraslim solid-state device.
Fujitsu Components Europe has expanded its relay offering for the industrial control and appliance markets with the addition of an ultraslim solid-state device.
Designed for high-density PCB mounting, the new FTR-SL is a 1A, SIP-type solid-state relay measuring 5 x 28 x 15mm.
It is pin-compatible with Fujitsu's existing FTR-LY electromechanical relay, thus expanding the types of relay mounting styles that Fujitsu offers for industrial and appliance applications, such as PLCs, process controls, remote switching, air conditioners, vending machines and photocopiers.
The FTR-SL series offers 5, 12, 24 and 60V DC nominal control voltages ranging from 3.75 to 66V DC.
It can handle a 50A surge and a peak voltage of 250V AC.
As a standard feature, the FTR-SL includes a built-in varistor/snubber circuit to prevent malfunction from overvoltage and/or overcurrent.
A zero-cross circuit, which minimises noise and inrush current, is also standard.
The FTR-SL has a 2.5kV RMS dielectric strength between input and output.
Its semipermanent operating life provides a maintenance-free solution.
