Start with the news release Software accelerates thermal simulations from Blue Ridge Numerics, which we summarised at the time by saying "Software enables users to set up and view a first-pass airflow and heat transfer simulation in minutes while generating high-fidelity design reviews up to 20 times faster than previous versions.". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Low-power SRAM targets cost-sensitive devices from Silicon7: "A new 8Mbit high-speed low-power SRAM will interest designers working on portable electronic products that are less memory demanding than many feature rich products.".
In August 2003, we covered the news from GD Technik - take a look at Demultiplexer takes on high-speed data which says: "The Atmel TS81102G0 a single-chip demultiplexer (DMUX) for A/D conversion and DMUX combinations used in telecommunications, industrial and military applications.".
Take a look also at the news release from Fairchild Semiconductor, Less power needed for quad transceiver, as well as Comms processor enters the next generation from Freescale Semiconductor, and More options in IC package design from Flomerics.
