‘Pcibuses’
An Electronicstalk guide
Start with the news release Digital frame grabber adopts PC/104-Plus format from Active Silicon, which we summarised at the time by saying "The Phoenix D24CL in PC/104-Plus format offers high performance and high speeds over the full industrial temperature range.". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Mezzanine card upgrades to serial-attached storage from Concurrent Technologies: "Concurrent Technologies has released one of the first PMC-based quad-port serial attached disk-storage adapters suitable for CompactPCI or VME platforms.".
In August 2005, we covered the news from Concurrent Technologies - take a look at Top-speed PowerPC enables real-time VME which says: "The VP 754/20x is a single slot VME64x board designed around the Freescale 1.4GHz MPC7447A PowerPC processor and supporting up to 1.25Gbyte 266MHz DDR SDRAM.".
Take a look also at the news release from Kontron UK, Embedded SBC boasts express communications, as well as VMEbus SBCs exploit Pentium M power from Thales Computers, and Bridge chip covers all PCI standards from Ultimate Renaissance.
