‘Optical Antenna’
An Electronicstalk guide
Start with the news release Photo IC for optical switching applications from Hamamatsu Photonics, which we summarised at the time by saying "Hamamatsu Photonics has introduced a photo IC that is designed for optical switches and provides an analogue waveform output, proportional to the intensity of incident pulsed light. ". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release DC/DC uModule PoL regulator for RAID systems from Linear Technology: "The LTM4611, a complete switch mode DC/DC uModule point-of-load regulator, is suited for applications in systems with only 3.3, 2.8 or 2.5V as the main power rail.".
In December 2010, we covered the news from Maxim Integrated Products - take a look at Ambient-light sensor suited for tablet PCs which says: "The MAX9635 is ideally suited for tablet and notebook PCs, smartphones, TVs, digital lighting-management systems and light-intensity-monitoring applications. ".
Take a look also at the news release from Taiyo Yuden, Chip filters optimise performance of mobile phones, as well as Stylebox includes recessed EMC mounting versions from Elma Electronic, and Radio antenna module suited for embedded GPS from Antenova.
