Colin Lythall has been named as Director of Engineering for the Vast Systems Technology engineering team in Sydney, Australia

'Colin has an outstanding background in a wide range of business, technical and managerial leadership roles in both hardware and software product development'. 'We are excited about Colin joining our growing R and D team in Sydney', commented Rob Bedichek, Vice President of Engineering for Vast Systems.

Lythall brings 20 years of managerial experience to his new role at Vast.

Immediately prior to joining Vast, he served at IntelliWhere as the Product Development Manager for highly scalable incident management systems for homeland security and emergency dispatch centres.

Lythall's prior experience includes being a cofounder at each of WebVentures, QSI Payments and Qtec Semiconductor, a developer of embedded microcontrollers and component library products plus software simulation and synthesis models.

'The future of complex embedded systems design requires that developers be able to create a software model of a complex hardware system very early in the lifecycle'.

'Vast has the only technology that enables users to produce a virtual system prototype (VSP) that is cycle-accurate and runs at near hardware speeds'.

'I am very pleased to join the Vast team and be part of this design revolution', commented Lythall.
