The common-core plugs use insulation displacement contact to allow tool-less, fast and reliable field termination of either solid or stranded conductors.

The connectors meet the requirements of EIA/TIA-568B and IEC 60603-7-1 for Category 5e performance.

The plugs are available in four positions for operation up to 100Mb/s and eight positions for speeds to 1,000Mb/s.

A UL 94V-0-rated quick-turn bayonet coupling and a positive locking ring, which meet the requirement of IEC 61076-3-106 Variant 1, are said to help provide reliable connections under harsh conditions.

The silicon sealing gaskets are UV resistant.

The connectors have an operating temperature range from -40C to +85C.

End caps are available to protect unmated connectors.

The IP67 common-core connectors join the expanding line-up of ODVA-compliant connectors suited for Ethernet/internet protocol, Devicenet and Controlnet applications, including industrial machinery, diagnostic equipment and communications equipment.
