Incorporated in a detector with a 120 x 120-pixel sensing matrix, the Flir B40 detects temperature from -20C to +120C.

According to TME, the instrument is characterised by its high thermal sensitivity of 0.1C and its regulated emissivity (from 0.1 to 1), which increases the precision of temperature measurements.

All of this can be observed on a 3.5in LCD screen.

In addition, the camera can display the thermal vision picture, the visible light picture and the picture in picture.

Two LEDs enable measurements to be taken in the dark, and the acquired radiometric picture is saved to a MicroSD 1GByte memory card in a JPG format.

The pictures can be sent to a PC through a USB interface and fully processed using the Quickreport software, which is included with the camera.

The camera can help to identify improperly mounted windows or doors as well as electrical faults.

It can even be used to locate the source and location of a water leak.
