CISC microcontroller boasts RISC-like performance
A new high-speed 32bit microcontroller from Toshiba combines RISC-level performance with the advantages of a CISC architecture
The TMP92FD54A1F features 512Kbyte of built-in Flash memory and is ideal for embedded web server designs and other applications requiring the processing of high volumes of data. Toshiba's TMP92FD54A1F integrates the company's high-performance TLCS-900/H1 32bit CPU core with a wide variety of peripherals including a memory controller, a 10bit, 12-channel ADC, a CAN 2.0B-compliant controller, and 8 and 16bit timers.

The TLCS-900/H1 32bit CPU core will operate at up to 20MHz for minimum instruction execution times of 50ns.
This core combines four register banks for real-time control with an eight-channel micro-DMA controller.
Four standby modes and a stop mode allow designers to implement optimum power conservation schemes.
Supplied in a 100-pin LQFP package, TMP92FD54A1F uses from a nominal 5V supply and has a rated operating temperature range of -40 to +85C.
