DSL router brings video to the home
Several OEMs using TI technology have added video capabilities to digital subscriber line based residential gateways.
Continuing to drive "triple play" capabilities into the residential gateway (RG) and across the broadband market, Texas Instruments has revealed that several OEMs using TI technology have added video capabilities to digital subscriber line (DSL)-based RGs Complete Media Systems (CMS) and Video Networks (VN) have created DSL-based Internet protocol (IP) set-top box (STB) solutions to deliver enhanced communications and entertainment capabilities including high performance, unicast video on demand (VoD), and multicast broadcast video, along with data services through a DSL connection
