Start with the news release Access device is at home in residential gateways from PMC-Sierra, which we summarised at the time by saying "Delivers gigabit-per-second IPv4 or IPv6 routing, network address translation and quality of service features". A couple of weeks before, we featured the news release Processor chosen for Korean telecommunications from Ikanos Communications: "Mercury is the only gateway vendor to successfully pass the Korean telco's rigorous benchmark testing and reach field trial deployment".
