Lineage Power's MicroTLynx convertor delivers up to 12A of output current at a precisely regulated output voltage from 0.69 to 5.5V DC, programmable via an external resistor.

Lineage Power has released the the 5/12V MicroTLynx convertor.

These open frame modules are designed to meet the latest DOSA standard footprint specification to provide higher power, higher density and faster transient response in a wide variety of board-mounted power applications.

The 5/12V MicroTLynx series convertor has an input voltage range of 4.5 to 14V.

These modules deliver up to 12A of output current at a precisely regulated output voltage from 0.69 to 5.5V DC, programmable via an external resistor.

The 5/12V MicroTLynx convertor offers the same high efficiency as the Lynx series but with significantly improved thermal performance due to innovations in design and packaging.

In addition, standard features include programmable output voltage, remote on/off, remote sense, Power Good, monotonic start up, EZ-Sequence, over current and over temperature protection.

The 5/12V MicroTLynx convertor also offers the new Tunable-Loo feature, which allows engineers to optimise the control loop to significantly improve transient response and reduce the amount of external filtering.

This enables designers to save valuable space and cost in their applications.

The Tunable-Loop is easy to implement and requires only a minimal set of additional low cost components and no additional pins.

The 5V/12V MicroTLynx convertor, currently available in a small SMT package measuring only 20.3 x 11.4 x 7.49mm, features the LGA (land-grid-array) interconnect method.

Supporting an industrial operation temperature range of -40 to +85C, the modules meet EU Directive 2002/95/EC RoHS initiatives as well as industry standard board cleaning processes.
