The ATL series of point-of-load DC/DC convertors are designed to support battery powered applications.

The ATL series of point-of-load (POL) DC/DC convertors from Tyco Electronics Power Systems are designed to support battery powered applications.

The ATL010A0X43-SRZ supports an input voltage range of 9 to 18V DC, with a programmable output range of 0.75 to 5V DC using an external resistor.

This nonisolated module can deliver up to 10A of output current with full load efficiency of 93% at 3.3V output.

In addition to a wide range input to support battery powered sources, the ATL series supports EZ-Sequence, which is a standard offering in the Austin Lynx II series.

Standard Austin Lynx features include remote sense, on/off control, prebias immunity, monotonic startup, overcurrent and overtemperature protection.

"Our new Austin ATL series addresses the needs of POL power module for battery powered source applications", said Sabi Varma, Vice President, Marketing and Development Engineering at Tyco Electronics Power Systems.

"This module extends the benefits of POL convertors to mobile power segments by providing standard power solutions".

The EU RoHS Directive 2002/95/EC compliant ATL010A0X43-SRZ convertor is offered in SMT packaging and measures 33.0 x 13.5 x 8.28mm.

Its open frame construction is able to withstand industry standard handling, cleaning and soldering processes.

The convertor can be operated under temperatures ranging from -40 to +85C.

The price of the ATL010A0X43-SRZ convertor starts at $13.50 each at 1000-unit volume.
