Available from Solid State Supplies, Sanken's highly integrated inverter power modules for motor control help reduce external components.

The SCM1110MF inverter power module is said to include all of the necessary power elements needed to configure the main circuit of an inverter as a high-side drive power supply, including six IGBTs, three pre-drive ICs, six flyback diodes and a bootstrap circuit (three bootstrap diodes and three boot resistors).

This enables the main circuit of the inverter to be configured with fewer external components than traditional designs.

The SCM1110MF provides a robust, highly integrated solution for controlling three-phase motor power inverter systems and variable-speed control systems used to drive motors in air-conditioning systems, refrigerators, washing machines and other household appliances.

Its DIP package features an exposed thermal pad for efficient heat dissipation.

Input voltage is 85 to 253V AC with 15A continuous output current.

The device can withstand voltages up to 600V.

The SCM1110MF is designed to minimise simultaneous current through high- and low-side IGBTs by optimising gate-drive resistors.

It also features: UVLO protection with auto restart; overcurrent protection with off-time period adjustable by an external capacitor; and fault (FO indicator) signal output at protection activation.
