Silicon Integrated Systems has released its first Xabre600 graphics chipset solution with VIVO functionality
SiS and Conexant worked jointly to develop the Xabre600 that incorporates the Bt835 multimedia chipset from Conexant Systems for advanced video-in capability. The Xabre600 is the first graphics chip set in the world to use AGP 8X. It supports the latest DirectX 8.1 hardware acceleration and delivers fast performance and realistic, highest-quality graphics.

Integrating Conexant's Bt835 multimedia chipset, Xabre600 is able to provide a complete solution for analog video decoding and NTSC/Pal/Secam signal inputs.
Besides supporting multiple interfaces such as CRT-out, video-out (S-video) and DVI, the new video-in (S-video) and composite video-in ports offer unprecedented graphics with the Xabre600's advanced 3D engine.
Users can exploit the full potential of Xabre600 by connecting PCs to games consoles, video recorders and DV.
It can also be used in combination with other application software for digital image editing to deliver crisp, high-quality images.
The Xabre600 chipset offers unmatched engine clock speed of 300MHz and memory clock speed of 300MHz.
The revolutionary, innovative Vertexlizer Engine, a hardware optimised architecture, will dramatically enhance the visual experience.
