Based on the existing the R and S FS300, the FS315 is equipped with an additional tracking generator and also provides several new functions.

Return loss and transmission measurements on RF components such as filters, amplifiers, antennas and cables are ideal applications for the additional signal source.

As any frequency offset can be entered, measurements on frequency mixers can be performed as well.

The R and S FS315 has been enhanced by max/min peak, sample, average and RMS detectors.

In addition, the R and S FS315 is also capable of electric field strength measurements that, take antenna factors into account.

The R and S HZ-15 near-field probe set helps to locate weak spots by performing emission measurements on printed boards, integrated boards and shielding.

To acoustically evaluate modulated signals, headphones can be connected to an AM/FM audio frequency demodulator output.

The R and S FS315 is supplied with powerful PC software that controls the analyser and transfers measurement data via a USB interface.

Measurement data can thus be evaluated according to different criteria.

To process the measurement results further, data and screenshots can be exported in ASCII format and as JPEG files, respectively.

The bright and easy-to-read 5.4in TFT display, clearly structured menus and numerous function keys make the R and S FS315 highly ergonomic.

The R and S FS315 is now available from Rohde and Schwarz, starting at a basic price of Eur 7500.
