In April 2010, we covered the news from Cast - take a look at Cast encoder core is ideal for medical imaging which says: "Cast is offering the JPEG-E-X IP encoder core, which supports both the baseline (8-bit) and extended sequential (12-bit) modes of the JPEG image compression standard.".
