Rohde and Schwarz and its system partner Sekas have responded to growing demands by adding Linux compatibility to its CompactTSVP (test system versatile platform), which was specially designed for testing modern communications and automotive electronics. The TSVP LXLib software environment created by Rohde and Schwarz and Sekas allows the easy porting of drivers to Linux. With TSVP LXLib, Rohde and Schwarz now offers comprehensive support for its CompactPCI- and PXI-based T and M equipment under Linux.

By making available important system components such as PXI kernel drivers, IVI runtime and a generic device API, the proven driver and selftest software from Rohde and Schwarz can now also be operated under Linux.

The high quality of this software ensures that measurement tasks are performed quickly and conveniently.

TSVP-LXLib is based on Suse-Linux 9.0 with a 2.4 Linux kernel ready for migration to version 2.6.

TSVP LXLib can be easily integrated into the Quotis quality recording and management system from Sekas, which is used for quality data management in heterogeneous networks.

On Linux systems with a graphical user interface, the R and S CompactTSVP module functions can be visualized by means of virtual instrument front panels.
