Microcontrollers expand 16bit applications

Microcontroller additions target car audio, home audio and similar consumer products as well as industrial applications.

Renesas Technology Europe has added 12 different M16C/64 group models and 20 different M16C/65 group models to its M16C Platform microcontroller lineup for car audio, home audio and similar consumer products as well as industrial applications.

Sample shipments will begin in July 2007 for the M16C/64 group and at the end of 2007 for the M16C/65 group.

These models are upgraded functions and performance extensions of the current M16C/62P group and are compatible with current M16C Pl
