Powerpax UK has a new series of DIN-rail power supplies for industrial control and automation applications.

The PD series of DIN-rail power supplies from Powerpax UK features power outputs of 24, 45, 72, 120, 240 and 500W and standard outputs including 5, 12, 15, 24 and 48V; but for customers with specialist applications it is possible to modify the output to any voltage between 3 and 400V DC.

All the power supplies in the series feature a universal AC input (100-240V AC, 47-63Hz) and have built in active power factor correction where required.

Connection to the power supply is via a standard terminal block which provides ease of installation.

The series features short-circuit, overvoltage and overload protection.

This range is convection cooled for products up to 240W, with the 500W unit cooled by an internal fan.

The operating temperature range of the series is -15 to +50C at full load, storage temperature is -20 to +85C.

Operating humidity is 5-90% noncondensing.

To enhance the capability of these power supplies there are options for a power ready signal, redundant parallel operation and also series connection capability.

All products in the series are UL, cUL and CE approved, comply to EN55022 Class B and EN61000 and also meet the requirements of the RoHS and WEEE directives.

The MTBF of this series is a minimum of 100kh, calculated using MIL-HDBK-217F at 25C, and there is a 100% full load burn in for all power supplies.

In addition to the standard products PowerPax UK also specialises in semi- and full-custom requirements for OEM and ODM requirements and has the ability to provide full technical and logistics support.
