Engineers can now quickly and easily explore the latest version of the National Instruments LabView 7.1 graphical development environment without downloading or installing any software. The new NI LabView online evaluation is a free web-based tool for evaluating the industry-leading LabView software through customised tutorials and exercises designed for new users. 'More engineers and scientists than ever are turning to the web to learn about software and application solutions', said John Graff, NI Vice President of Marketing and Customer Operations.

'National Instruments is committed to providing the best software evaluation experience available through instant online access to our industry-standard graphical development environment'.

Using the LabView online evaluation, engineers and scientists can learn how to develop custom test and measurement applications with exercises covering user interface design, instrument control, signal analysis and more.

The evaluation features a fully functional LabView professional development environment, which offers thousands of functions for acquiring, analysing and presenting data as well as advanced application development tools.

Both new and current users can explore beyond the evaluation's exercises to determine how LabView 7.1 can enhance their applications.

The LabView online evaluation is based on Virtual Demo Management System (VDMS) technology available from Surgient, a provider of on-demand applications based in Austin, Texas.

With the Surgient VDMS enterprise software application, software corporations can simplify and enhance their abilities to create, deliver and manage online software evaluations.

NI LabView is a graphical development environment for engineers and scientists who need to create flexible and scalable test, measurement and control applications rapidly and at minimal cost.

With LabView, engineers and scientists interface with real-world signals, analyse data for meaningful information and share results and applications. Request a free brochure from National Instruments....
