The readers of Test and Measurement World have ranked the National Instruments website, ni.com, the most useful vendor website in an annual study conducted by Reed Research Group. In the study, "Test engineers and the web", readers rated company websites based on their online technical support, detailed product information, online purchasing features and technically focused content. "Test and design engineers use the in-depth technical content and features on ni.com, including interactive product advisors, to research and configure the right products for their applications", said Christer Ljungdahl, NI Director of Strategic Web Development.

"They can purchase more than 1700 products on ni.com, and the site features a wide variety of resources, including development tips and templates, to help engineers through every step of development".

"The unlimited information and services available on ni.com help make customers more effective at their jobs".

The study shows that engineers and other customers continually revisit ni.com because of the relevant, up-to-date and technically focused content including white papers, customer solutions, application notes and example code.

Features such as MyNI, which gives customers direct access to their support requests, registered products, orders and quotes, provide engineers personalised interfaces to help them quickly find information relevant to their application areas.

Other prime features on ni.com include interactive online tutorials and web events, which offer technology and product information in a media-rich environment, and a comprehensive community and technical support section with discussion forums in which customers can exchange ideas with applications engineers and R and D specialists.
