The National Instruments website has been named one of the year's "Ten best web support sites" by the Association of Support Professionals (ASP) for the third time. The ASP, representing more than 1000 technical support managers and professionals, evaluated and praised the site for its extensive technical support KnowledgeBase, interactive features, search implementation and overall usability and design. "National Instruments is clearly on the leading edge of web support", said top Internet commerce analyst and ASP Executive Director, Jeffrey Tarter.

"They provide their customers with outstanding support and services and their website clearly extends these same high standards to offer excellent online technical support".

The National Instruments website serves as a worldwide portal for engineers and scientists seeking application development help and technical support.

Visitors to the site find a wide range of information available in eight different languages, more than 13,300 KnowledgeBase documents that cover common programming or installation questions, 3600 example programs and 1800 support tutorials.

The breadth and depth of content on the site frequently helps customers find their solutions immediately, but customers can also use the web to quickly contact an NI engineer via phone or e-mail.

In its seventh year, the ASP "Ten best web support sites" competition evaluates the customer support websites of software and technology vendors.

A panel of industry experts assesses each site according to a scoring system based on 25 separate performance criteria.
