Littelfuse has introduced the lead-free and RoHS compliant SL0902 Series of miniature gas plasma arresters.

Littelfuse has introduced the lead-free and RoHS compliant SL0902 Series of miniature gas plasma arresters.

The new addition to the Littelfuse 'Greentube' family of propietary gas plasma arresters are designed for use in broadband and other high-speed applications.

They are a viable alternative to silicon surge protectors when high bandwidth and low capacitance are required.

The SL0902 is Littelfuse's smallest 'broadband opitmised' gas plasma arrester.

It enables performance enhancement through a combination of low insertion loss, zero capacitance variation with voltage and temperature and excellent voltage clamping.

All of these are requirements for broadband equipment in order to prevent surge damage while retaining data integrity.

The SL0902 Series meets the need, particularly with ADSL2+, for protectors to exhibit little or no variation of capacitance with changing voltage.

XDSL in general requires surge protectors with low capacitance/low insertion loss and the SL0902 offers some of the lowest insertion loss values in the industry while providing excellent surge clamping.

Designed to work with the Littelfuse 'Telelink' surface-mount fuses in applications where both fusing and surge protection are necessary, the small footprint SL0902 series can be accommodated on DO-214AA solder pads.
