Link Microtek has introduced a range of small microwave loop couplers, which offer higher directivity values than equivalent cross-guide couplers, and that are suitable for use in X-ray machines.

Suitable for monitoring microwave power levels in applications as diverse as X-ray machines and radar antennas, the AM-LC series of loop couplers cover frequencies from 2.6 to 40.0GHz and can achieve directivities as high as 40dB, enabling accurate measurements to be made.

The devices range in length from 25 to 200mm for standard waveguide sizes WR28 to WR284, and all models can be specified with coupling values of 30, 40 or 50dB and a choice of SMA, N-type or TNC connectors.

These high-performance loop couplers feature low insertion losses and low VSWR values, as well as the capability to handle full waveguide power.

Designed and manufactured by Link Microtek, at its premises in the centre of Basingstoke, the AM-LC devices are fabricated as standard from lightweight Alochromed aluminium with a black satin paint finish and can also be supplied in brass or other materials to special order.
