Under the agreement, Hybricon will supply and manufacture chassis for the signalling ASE platform. Sevis's signalling ASE platform, a network transparent - no point code - application and service engine, lays the foundation for a smooth transition to next generation signalling networks. It is a carrier-grade, NEBS certified system that breaks down cost and footprint barriers at only 2U high.
Its transparency provides elegant deployment while maintaining the same functionality as other solutions.
It eliminates network complexity by avoiding any network re-engineering and allows deployment independent of existing network infrastructure.
The ASE platform provides a transparent signalling interface for application developers and carriers to quickly and cost-effectively deploy new, premium services.

The signalling ASE platform hosts multiple applications that extend and enhance the signalling network's capabilities.
The transparent message router (TMR) is an advanced signalling router that enables an intelligent IP-based overlay network for deploying value-added applications such as SMS anti-spam, equipment identity register (EIR) and AIN/WIN/CAMEL/INAP database applications.
The transparent SMS router (TSR) is an SMS routing solution that provides short code routing and direct delivery of person-to-application SMS traffic.
Network access mediation (NAM) provides carriers with enhanced gateway screening and intelligent firewalling to protect against the risks of increased interconnections.
And the active fraud eliminator (AFE) provides fraud vendors and carriers an active signalling probe giving them the ability to tear down, block, and reroute fraudulent calls.
'Sevis is focused on providing innovative signalling solutions that meet the needs of today's service providers in terms of value and reliability'.
'We select technology partners that enhance our ability to meet those needs', said Mike Ashdown, Director of Engineering for Sevis.
'Hybricon's proven success as a carrier-grade solutions provider enables us to continue to provide a high level of availability and reliability required by our entire application suite'.
Hybricon's 2U CompactPCI chassis are designed to meet strict telecommunications standards, providing redundant power supplies and fans to support hot swapping of cards, and a custom four-slot PICMG 2.16 packet switching backplane.
Optimal airflow is provided with Hybricon's patented air deflecting CoolSlot card guides, which eliminate cooling 'dead spots' on boards and provide more uniform airflow throughout the system.
