Holland Shielding Systems has developed a new series of EMC gaskets to shield stainless-steel enclosures against high-frequency radiation.

Holland Shielding Systems has developed a new series of EMC gaskets to shield stainless-steel enclosures against high-frequency radiation.

The surface of the gaskets is covered with a special alloy to prevent galvanic corrosion and assure a highly electrically conductive contact and therefore high shielding performance.

The combination of the special alloy and the soft compressable foam core results in a gasket which prevents a high closure force; hence a less rigid construction is needed.

In most cases standard nonshielded cabinets or existing constructions can be shielded easily without adjustments and for only a fraction of the cost of a standard shielded cabinet.

An attenuation level up to 96dB is typically provided for frequencies from 10kHz up to 3GHz.

For easy mounting all gaskets can be supplied with conductive or nonconductive self-adhesive.

Special versions are available for aluminium, zinc plated steel and aluzinc enclosures, and variants are also available for waterproof sealing, for use at high temperatures or with flame retardant properties.
