Ericsson choses RTOS
Telecommunications equipment manufacturer Ericsson has selected the Green Hills Software Integrity real-time operating system
Integrity is a small, fast, deterministic RTOS designed for applications that require high reliability, small size and real-time responsiveness. Providing support for distributed processor designs, Integrity also offers the ability for extensive, nonintrusive field debugging and upgrading of a running system; critical in today's architectures.

By employing Integrity, Ericsson's engineers will be able to debug running fielded systems using nonintrusive tracepoints.
This makes it possible to collect valuable information while the system is running, a critical requirement for telecommunication systems that must operate continuously.
Tracepoints also guard against accidental stoppage of the system via breakpoints and can be utilised in either an attended or unattended manner.
Integrity provides comprehensive I/O file system support, including a USB host stack, NFS client and drivers for I2C, CompactPCI and VMEbus backplanes; clocks, timers and standard PC peripherals; a full-featured Unix-compatible, hierarchical file system and Flash file system, and a Posix API.
In addition, comprehensive networking is provided, including such protocols as TCP/IP, a small TCP/IP stack (TCP/IP-lite), UDP, RLOGIN, BSD sockets, PPP, FTP, TFTP, DNS, DHCP, SNMP and web server.
Integrity also supports a full line of embedded Internet software products and applications that makes it easy to add web connectivity management to target systems.
