New from Gennum Corp, the GF9351 is a low cost image processor featuring the company's Visual Excellence Processing (VXP) technology. The GF9351 provides industry-leading image processing for next-generation video and graphics demands, especially for 1080p HDTV displays. The GF9351 is the latest addition to the Gennum family of image processors powered by VXP technology and provides a significant reduction in power consumption and cost over previous generations of high-end image processors.
The GF9351 enables VXP technology to be deployed in systems where heat dissipation can be a problem, especially high-definition flat-panel TVs and home theatre projectors.
Pinout, package and software compatibility with the GF9350 allows an easy upgrade path for existing customers and enables a single, high-end image processing platform for a wide range of consumer electronics products.
VXP technology, pioneered by Gennum, delivers enhanced features made available by fourth generation broadcast-quality algorithms: TruMotionHD 1080i1080p adaptive de-interlacing for optimal image sharpness and resolution; FineEdge dynamic directional interpolation to eliminate jaggy artefacts found in traditional de-interlacing algorithms; FidelityEngine image enhancements for removal of unwanted noise and improved detail and uncompromised image quality; and RealityExpansion 10bit image processing for eye-catching natural colour.
