Everlight launches 3W Shuen high-power LED

Everlight Electronics has announced the 3W Shuen high-power LED with up to 170lm when driving at 700mA.

The new product joins the 1W Shuen series high-power LED with a luminous flux up to 100 lm at 350mA.

Both 1W and 3W Shuen packages are surface-mount, high-power devices offering high brightness in a compact and slim form factor.

This makes them suitable for various lighting applications including general illumination, flash, spot, signal, industrial and commercial lighting.

The thermal pad of both the 1W and 3W Shuen series are electrically isolated, providing for improved thermal and electrical characteristics.

LED devices are environmentally friendly and offer energy savings, reliability and long life, according to Everlight Electronics.

The Shuen families are said to exhibit these advantages while proving high-efficiency luminous output.

The Shuen series offers slim size and high luminosity as well as providing customers the flexibility of various CRI (colour rendering index) with 75 and 90 depending on their lighting applications.

The LEDs meet the European Union directives on RoHS; all materials and processes of the Shuen series are free of form lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent, polybrominated biphenyls or polybrominated diphenyl ethers.
