The two founding directors of Mektron Systems, Jim Anthony and Bob Amos, are delighted that the company is now part of a larger international organisation and are very enthusiastic about the acquisition. Elma Electronic designs, develops and manufactures system platforms, electronic enclosures and components, backplanes, switches, knobs and LEDs for a wide market base.
Mektron Systems is a developer and producer of high-end electronic packaging systems and specialist products for the COTS, defence and high-availability sector.
The company has been a forerunner in providing COTS system enclosure solutions and over the last 10 years has built a strong market position.

Elma Electronic UK has been growing rapidly with its standard range of products and has recently been developing good business from systems level COTS products for the defence sector.
This acquisition has significantly enhanced Elma's UK manufacturing facilities and has added substantially to the group's overall engineering capabilities.
