Eleksen, the inventor and manufacturer of ElekTex smart fabric touchpads for consumer electronics, has been chosen by the Consumer Electronics Association as an International CES Innovations 2007 Design and Engineering Awards Honouree for its iPod controller. Products entered in this prestigious program are judged by a pre-eminent panel of independent industrial designers, engineers and members of the trade press to honour outstanding design and engineering in cutting edge consumer electronics.
Eleksen's products will be highlighted at the 2007 International CES, which runs from January 8-11, 2007 in Las Vegas, Nevada, at Innovations Plus at the Sands, which showcases the hottest technologies in the consumer electronics industry.

Similarly, Electronics Weekly recently named Eleksen as a finalist for the Design Application of the Year category for its Elektra 06, European electronics industry Awards.
Eleksen was shortlisted for its range of ElekTex 'ready-to-integrate' smart fabric controls, which can be sewn into clothing and fashion accessories as easily as a zipper and used to control portable consumer electronic devices such as iPods and mobile phones.
'It is clear Eleksen is being recognised for innovation in design and our technology's ability to completely transform the consumer electronics industry,' said John Collins, VP of Business Development at Eleksen.
'It is an honour to be chosen by two leading industry authorities, the Consumer Electronics association and Electronics Weekly, for these awards'.
As a widely renowned consumer technology awards program that began in 1989, the CES Innovations Awards recognise the best designed and engineered products.
It is sponsored by CEA, the producer of the International CES, the world's largest consumer technology tradeshow, and endorsed by the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA), the voice of industrial design, committed to advancing the profession through education, information, community and advocacy.
